1. 1. Your files

   Every conversion, compression, edit and action happens on your computer. Files are never uploaded to us or anyone else, and PlanetOS works without an internet connection.

   New files are saved where you choose (next to the original by default). PlanetOS doesn’t keep copies.

2. 2. No account, no tracking

   There is no sign-in. The app contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code, and it doesn’t send usage or crash data.

3. 3. Buying Pro

   Purchases go through Paddle (paddle.com), our reseller and merchant of record. Paddle collects your name, email, country and payment details to process the order and send your receipt, under its own privacy policy. We never see your card details.

   We receive your email and order number from Paddle and put them in your license key, so we can help if you lose it. The app checks the key on your Mac, without contacting a server. Your weekly free-action count is also kept only on your Mac.

4. 4. Permissions on your Mac

   Automation (Finder): only if you open PlanetOS from the keyboard, to read which files you’ve selected.

   Folder access: to save results and to move files when you use “Move to…”.

5. 5. This website

   planetos.app is a static site. It sets no cookies and uses no analytics. Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security.
